Who is Mark H. Bott Company
From our humble beginnings in the old Brigham City grist mill, to this Ogden corner . Mark H. Bott Company is the trusted name in memorialization. Now over five generations strong, this family craft has been learned father to son, since 1875. Mark H. Bott Company has served Utah for over 145 years, and the state of Wyoming for over 45 years.
We are proud our heritage and our Ogden roots….remaining on the same corner since 1922. We are one of the very few companies in the United States that not only surpasses five generations, but is still owned and operated by the original family. Mark H. Bott Company does not “combine years worked”, to claim this history.
Four of our family members have received their CM – “Certified Memorialist” designation from MBNA. No one in the United States has more CM designees in one family than Mark H. Bott Company. Our owner, David Bott, has also been the National President for both Monument Builders of North America (MBNA) and American Institute of Commemorative Art (AICA) organizations.

Meet Our Team
David has worked in the monument business with his father since before graduating from high school. He Graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in Marketing and Business. David became President of the company after the death of his father, Mark H. Bott, in 1983. He has served in many capacities in the monument industry; Two terms as President of Rocky Mountain Monument Builders – RMMB, National President of Monument Builders of North America – MBNA, and Two terms as National President of The American Institute of Commemorative Art – AICA. David received his Certified Memorialist Designation – CM in 1983
Colleen graduated in Secretarial Science & Accounting, and joined Mark H. Bott Company in 1998, after working seven years at Morgan Elementary School in Morgan, UT. She handles all account payables, receivables, insurance and payroll, and works closely with our Accounting & Legal firms. Colleen also sells memorials when she has the chance.
